Shinju Redesign

I drew this in class a couple weeks ago, and just colored it during class today since I already had everything done for the assignment. This is her new design, the ref for her is put off to the side because of my commissions and to do list. I haven't done any personal art outside of my sketch book because school has kept me very, very busy. Finals are in a week or so, when that is done I will have a three week break to finish all commissions. Never fear, I have not forgotten.

As far as this drawing goes, I never meant to spend so much time coloring her but... a four hour class later and well...here you have it. Her wings now have highlights of aqua to bring out her stone and eyes, along with a more dragonfly like designs. The idea of a stained glass window has appealed to me for a while. Her markings here are all there is for now, as in the transformation comic she has become simplified... but her wings are now more elaborate. Unconscious compensation I suppose... the fae in Velar have very dragonfly like wings and have for almost seven years...so the fact she hasn't was a little inaccurate. I prefer this.

I'll be interested to hear what people think about her changes. Though they are few, it suits the recent changes for me and my life.
